How to use:

As a food supplement, add 40 g (4 level scoops*) to 250-300 ml cold water, almond milk of fat-free milk in a shaker. Shake well until a smooth and creamy texture is achieved. Blending can significantly enhance mouth feel; if you want your shake to be even smoother and creamier, combine ingredients using a blender. If your shake is too thick, simply add more liquid. Using almond or dairy milk instead of water achieves a creamier and tastier end result.

*Note: As powder densities can vary naturally from batch to batch and even scoop to scoop, a scoop is provided merely as a guide to serving size. Those wanting 100 % accuracy in serving weight should use a digital scale, as a scoop is a volumetric measure that is never a 100 % accurate measure of powder weight.

We do not believe it is necessary to consume more than 1 or 2 servings per day to derive the intended nutritional benefit. We suggest this product be used as a food supplement only in conjunction with a nutritious diet and not relied on as a sole source of nutrition.

Is Protein Rx diabetic-friendly?

Current recommendations for sugar intake in diabetics generally advise that daily sugar intake should not exceed 10% of daily energy intake. The UK Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition further advises that this percentage ideally be reduced to 5%, which equates to 25g of sugars in a 2000 kCal/day diet. Protein Rx is relatively low in sugar, containing 10g of carbohydrates, of which 6g sugar, per serving. Diabetics should thus factor the product’s carbohydrate and sugar content into their daily diet plan and continue to regularly monitor their blood glucose levels to ensure that it is maintained within the recommended range.
