The health-giving properties of this type of chocolate are to be found in the key ingredients that are cocoa and raw honey:
Cocoa:
Essential Mineral Magnesium: The primary source of the essential mineral magnesium is found in cocoa. Too many benefits to mention, enough to say that it is essential to our overall health & wellbeing especially where our heart is concerned.
Theobromine: Cocoa contains theobromine which is a heart opener, strengthening and improving heart function.
Anti-Oxidants: Cocoa is still one of the highest anti-oxidants which fight free radicals responsible, amongst other things, for aging & tissue damage.
Tryptophan: Tryptophan is essential in the production of serotonin which is our stress-defense shield – thus a mood enhancer.
Raw Honey:
Raw honey is an alkaline-forming food that contains natural vitamins, enzymes, powerful antioxidants and other important natural nutrients. It has anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties. It promotes body and digestive health, is a powerful antioxidant, strengthens the immune system, eliminates allergies, and is an excellent remedy for skin wounds and all types of infections. Raw honey can also stabilize blood pressure, balance sugar levels, relieve pain, calm nerves, and it has been used to treat ulcers. It is also an expectorant and anti-inflammatory and has been known to effectively treat respiratory conditions such as bronchitis and asthma.
